Prof. Lagendijk is Distinguished Professor in Computing-based Society, and chair of the Cybersecurity research group at TU Delft. He has more than 30 years of research and teaching experience in digital signal processing with current focuses on privacy protection, data sharing, algorithm transparency, and meaningful human control over autonomous intelligent systems. He is captain of science (CTO) of the national innovation topteam Dutch Digital Delta, figurehead (‘boegbeeld’) of the route Big Data of the NWA, program coordinator of the national program Digital Society, and member of the strategy team of the Dutch AI Coalition (NL AIC).
